Quad Cities Illinois Trip ~ Walnut Grove Historical Preservation Part 2

Here is the second part of my visit to Walnut Grove! I'm thinking that there will be one more post after this one to show the rest of the pictures from this trip. Had my battery not ran out, I would have taken more--and had I remembered that I had a spare in my purse I definitely would have! The ways in which we inconvenience ourselves, when it can simply be avoided. We are funny people.

Hope you enjoy the pictures! After I'm done with the Walnut Grove pics, then all that remains of the Quad Cities trip is our last morning, and the trip home! I can't believe it's taken me this long to get the posts up. ;) If you'd like to take a trip there, here's a the info from the Quad Cities site. If you've missed my first Walnut Grove post, you can read it here.

I thought this was really interesting! I wanted to ask how it worked, but didn't get the chance.

Nice view into the woods. Tranquil.

The bank. This one was really interesting! Had thoughts of western tales/robberies running through my head. And how they'd carry it out. ;)

Every time I saw a register--anything with buttons--I desperately wanted to push them. I'm funny like that.

What's this thing do? Hmmm....

I pictured a scene from Anne of Avonlea when i saw this. Not the same, but she put a letter through a grating, and this just made me think of it.

Hope you enjoyed them all! Please comment below, would love to hear what you think! More Quad Cities post will be coming, and some interviews with Megan from Lush to Blush, Alex from Lone Wolfe, and Amanda from A Dangerous Business! So keep an eye out for that. They find a way to integrate what they are passionate about into an online business, inspire others with their stories. And, I must say Megan does it with some real style.

I enjoy my life. I think I have a very good life. And I think I'm very satisfied with the direction of my career and just my lifestyle and everything like that. So I wouldn't change a single thing.

  1. It may very well be a requirement of being homeschooled to watch Anne of Green Gables.
