My Top 5 Destinations to Return To ~ Hosted by Go There Promotion

Hi guys! I was recently approached a second time by Booked.net - Top Destinations to Go There for their Go There Promotion, a project which allows travel bloggers to share their traveling experience and also gives a chance to win  iPhone 6! I thought that'd be fun. We also get to nominate 5 other bloggers to participate! My destination selection will be a trifle limited, but I can honestly say that I do strongly wish to return to these places time and time again. Wonderful memories there.

My top 5 destinations! Here we go!

San Diego

This is the place that holds the most memories. Family vacations, our first time at the ocean--discovering places my dad had grown up with. It is so gorgeous there, and I just fell in love. I love the museums, the beach, Balboa Park, The Prado--it's high on my list to go back!

San Diego, Coronado Beach

This is my favorite beach at San Diego. It is just so gorgeous, with the old hotel in the background, and the mounds of flowering creepers. And I can never resist picking up shells. Just can't.

Mt. Cheaha, Alabama

This is a place I visited with friends in 2009, and just realized that I really should do a post on all the things I was kindly taken to see by those I was staying with. So, look for those posts coming up! Cheaha is a very gritty place, with wonderful views and that backwoods, camp feel that you hope to find.

Legoland, Sand Diego, CA

This is a terrifically fun place! The day we went, there were people dressed up like the characters from Starwars! Got to see Darth Vader, Leia, Obi-Wan, Luke--so very cool. Even Darth Maul. Super cool. We had a great time on the rides, (rode my first rollercoaster and I was ecstatic) and absolutely loved the minilands, especially the Starwars scenes!! I'll be doing a post on that as well.

San Diego Zoo

I LOVE San Diego zoo. It is always fun, and seeing those cubs last time was incredible. I'm a big animal person, and being able to see so many was awesome. And the first day there, during our bus tour, we got to see the newborn giraffe!!! I can't wait to go back! Maybe next time I'll be able to do some of the activities that I haven't done yet.

Doing this has made me realize there are several destinations and trips I haven't even listed from years ago! So I'm going to have to take care of that!

Well I hope you enjoyed it all! I'm nominating...

Sarah from Sky Envy

Amanda from A Dangerous Business

Candace from The Great Affair

Alex from Alex in Wanderland

Jamie from ink+adventure

I'll be posting again soon! Obviously have much to do. And don't forget about the giveaway for a $25 Starbucks giftcard this 17th!

  1. I had a lovely time in San Diego, but didn't see anything on your list - how funny! I just remember getting SUPER sunburnt by the pool and then putting on lots of suncream and going to the beach... where we got even more sunburnt - haha!
I just wrote about the same thing: http://leatherandabel.com/five-places-i-want-to-return-to/ check it out :) xx

    1. Really? That's a pity! You should make sure to try to see some of the places if you get to go again! San Diego is always full of surprises...I look forward to getting to discover more of it when I next go.
